Who we are

Silvan Cherry ("we", "us") operates the website silvancherry.com. We make handraised copper cookware and related craft objects in Yunnan, China. For privacy questions, write to hi@silvancherry.com.

This policy applies to visitors and people who contact us through the site. Our business is established in China Mainland.

What we collect

When you send an inquiry, we may collect your name, email address, phone or messaging handle if you provide it, the product you are interested in, and your message.

When you browse, our hosting and security tools may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP. If we enable analytics later, that will be described here and, where required, in our Cookie Notice.

Why we use your information

We use inquiry details to reply to you, discuss availability, lead time, and shipping where relevant, and to keep a record of correspondence.

We use technical data to run, secure, and improve the website, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate traffic. We do not sell your personal information.

Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

Our contact and inquire forms use Cloudflare Turnstile in invisible mode to reduce automated spam and abuse. There is no visible CAPTCHA for most visitors: verification runs in the background when you load or submit the form.

Turnstile may process technical data (for example IP address, browser and device signals, and challenge results) solely to distinguish humans from bots. We do not use Turnstile for advertising profiles.

By using our forms, you acknowledge that this protection may run as described there and in this policy.

Legal bases and retention

We process inquiry data because you ask us to respond (contractual steps or legitimate interests in answering business inquiries). We keep correspondence only as long as needed for that purpose and ordinary business records, then delete or anonymize it unless a longer period is required by law.

We use Turnstile on the basis of legitimate interests in securing the site and preventing spam, and where applicable to take steps at your request before a contract.

Sharing

We may use service providers who process data on our behalf (for example website hosting on Cloudflare, email delivery such as Resend, and bot protection via Cloudflare Turnstile). They may only use data to provide those services.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the site.

International transfers

Our workshop is in China Mainland. If you write to us from another country, your message will be received and handled there. Hosting or email providers may process data in other regions. We take reasonable steps to work with reputable providers.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law. Contact hi@silvancherry.com. You may also stop marketing messages by using any unsubscribe link we provide, or by emailing us.

Children

The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
